Each builder is unique and requires different documentation when purchasing a new consutruction home. Depending upon where the home is in the construction process may play a factor in documents you, the customer will sign. Whether the home is a single family home or a condo also plays a role in the required documents. Below is a list of documents you will sign when purchasing a home or condo from Watts Homes:
- Purchase Agreement (ours, the local Board of Realtors or Approved State of Michigan document – this will depend upon the neighborhood and the phase of construction)
- Materials & Specification sheet (if the home is to be built)
- Floor Plan (if this home is to be built)
- Allowance Sheet (if applicable)
- Color Selection Sheet (if you are able to select colors)
- Limited Home Warranty
- Mold Disclosure
- Homeowner Association Documents receipt (if applicable)
- Homeowner Manual receipt
- Board of Realtor Forms – lead paint, seller disclosure, agency, etc (if applicable)
- Addendums or Change Orders (if applicable)
- Homeowner Orientation receipt
This is a list of the main documents you will be signing. However, additional documents may also be required depending upon the situation.
