Each builder is unique and requires different documentation when purchasing a new consutruction home. Depending upon where the home is in the construction process may play a factor in documents you, the customer will sign. Whether the home is a single family home or a condo also plays a role in the required documents. Below is a list of documents you will sign when purchasing a home or condo from Watts Homes:

  • Purchase Agreement (ours, the local Board of Realtors or Approved State of Michigan document – this will depend upon the neighborhood and the phase of construction)
  • Materials & Specification sheet (if the home is to be built)
  • Floor Plan (if this home is to be built)
  • Allowance Sheet (if applicable)
  • Color Selection Sheet (if you are able to select colors)
  • Limited Home Warranty
  • Mold Disclosure
  • Homeowner Association Documents receipt (if applicable)
  • Homeowner Manual receipt
  • Board of Realtor Forms – lead paint, seller disclosure, agency, etc (if applicable)
  • Addendums or Change Orders (if applicable)
  • Homeowner Orientation receipt

This is a list of the main documents you will be signing. However, additional documents may also be required depending upon the situation.
