According to the tax code, you are able to deduct your property taxes and mortgage interest on your tax return. What do you think about the possible elimination of Fannie & Freddie? 
I don’t know if you have heard but the government is contemplating the possibility of eliminating the two largest private providers of home mortgages, Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. They are also discussing the elimination of all federal government home loan programs as well. If either or both of these two options happen, the real estate industry will halt.
Most people do not realize that when you get a home mortgage Fannie & Freddie are typically the buyers of those loans and the bank you received the loan through is normally just servicing the loan for the ultimate investor or purchaser of the loan. You may get a letter in...
