When building a home the builder and the customer try to think of every contingency when preparing the contract. However, you the customer may have a situation or circumstance change or you may have forgotten to add something in the contract you realized at a later date. Depending upon when this discovery happens and the stage the home is in during the construction process it may be no problem to make the change you request. Remember that not all changes can be made and if work is already complete it may be very expensive or cost prohibitive to make the change. Keep in mind you may also be charged for the creation of the estimate (whether the change even occurs). If you wish to make a change please contact your sales representative. An example change order may look like the following:

Reading blueprints or floor plan drawings can be difficult for some people. Some people have a hard time visualizing the space where others can see the concept in their head. If you have this problem know that you are not alone and do not feel ashamed. For those that tend to use the creative side of their brain they are able picture room sizes or color concepts in their head.
People can be taught how to read a set of blue prints (room sizes, symbols, etc) but most people cannot be taught how to visualize how a room will look with only a set of drawings and a few color swatches. For those that cannot visualize space we suggest you use a tape measure and a helper(s) to create the actual space (basement floor, garage, driveway, etc – use tape or chalk) and then measure your furniture and draw those items in the room space you created to give you a better idea of the actual...

Floor plans and home designs are copyrighted so you need permission from the designer in order to build that specific home design or floor plan. If you do not have permission a lawsuit may be filed against you.
